Amazfit T-Rex With 20-Day Battery launched in India at ₹ 9,999 ($131)

Huami Technology has launched the Amazfit T-Rex smartwatch in India. The smartwatch was unveiled at CES 2020, back in January, and, the company announced in May it will be bringing it to India in the second week of June.
It has a solid 20-day battery life and is available in four color options and comes with built-in GPS for better location tracking. The smartwatch that carries MIL-STD-810G certification.

Amazfit T-Rex specifications

The Amazfit T-Rex features a 1.3-inch (360×360 pixels) AMOLED display with Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It has a 390mAh battery, as per Huami, which can last up 20 days in daily use mode. It has a basic watch mode as well, and here the battery can last up to 66 days.

The smartwatch is the MIL-STD-810G compliant and has passed 12 regulations of military-grade testing. It is quite rugged and measures 47.7×47.7×13.5mm, weighing about 58 grams.


Amazfit has a good number of sensors and there is an optical heart rate sensor (PPG), 3-axis accelerator, geomagnetic sensor, and ambient light sensor on board. In terms of connectivity, the Amazfit T-Rex uses Bluetooth v5.0 and also has GPS + GLONASS.

The activity tracking features include 14 sports modes and the Amazfit T-Rex can monitor sports heart rate, statistics of exercise duration, and other data as well. It comes with all-day heart rate monitoring and being a smartwatch, it can perform typical functions like showing notifications, weather, and more.

It is available for purchase via Amazon and Amazfit T-Rex will be available in leading offline stores like Croma, Reliance Digital, and Poorvika Mobiles across the country by next week as per the company.

It is priced at ₹ 9,999 ($131) and comes in four color options namely, Army Green, Camo Green, Khaki, and Rock Black.

Xiaomi is expected to launch the Mi Band 5 soon to be a good option to check.
